Summary: Consultant will provide job-embedded coaching and professional development to 22 Providence schools educators from four (4) Providence High Schools and six (6) content specialists. Participants will be selected through an application process. The goal of this project will be to support and develop eight (8) student-centered, high-yield instructional strategies. The work of this grant will provide six educators (one representing each content area) and two students, from each school selected, with the tools, training, and support necessary to implement high-level, student-centered instructional strategies. The participation of educators and students at each school will develop and implement best practices for student-centered instruction. As a result, participants will facilitate school-wide Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to support student-centered teaching and learning.

1. The Consultant will deliver 4 days of job embedded coaching focused on:
a. the implementation of high-leverage, student-centered instructional strategies at four (4) District high schools;
b. the creation and facilitation of student-centered Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for District high school staff;
c. the creation and facilitation of high school centered PLCs;
d. a reflection/assessment process for the project.

2. The District agrees to pay the consultant a fee not to exceed $6,000 compensation for services rendered. This amount is inclusive of expenses for materials, supplies, transportation, lodging, and meals for all on-site and off-site planning and preparation. Consultant shall not be paid in advance.
