BELL exists to transform the academic achievements, self-confidence, and life trajectories of children living in under-resourced communities.
● BELL’s Summer learning program is open to all Providence Public Elementary students (rising 1st through rising 5th graders). The 5-week of summer learning is a free, full-day program.
● BELL will recruit, select, equip, and support professional teachers to lead the summer learning program. BELL will also hire the following positions for a successful implementation: Program Managers, Assistant Teachers, Enrichment Teachers, Program Assistants and Instructional Coaches.
● BELL will offer: A 6 hours per day program (8:30-2:30pm) 5 days per week. Monday- Thursday scholars will participate in 3 hours of academics (90 minutes of literacy and 90 minutes of math). Scholars will also experience 2 hours of enrichment activities and community time. On Fridays scholars will attend field trips.
