Boys Girls Clubs of Providence Contract Summary 2018.doc.docx
Summary: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence will support Providence students in reversing summer slide, developing positive relationships, and increasing aspirations for college success.

● BGCP’s summer learning program is open to all Providence Public Elementary School students (rising 1st through rising 5th graders). The six week of summer learning is a free, full-day program available to the District’s elementary schools.

● BGCP will recruit, select, equip, and support professional teachers to lead the summer learning program. BGCP will also hire the following positions for a successful implementation: Program Manager, Youth Development Professionals and High School Assistants.

● BGCP will offer: educational enrichment with positive environment where children can develop self-confidence and social skills, build lasting relationships with peers and counselors, work to improve their grasp of core academic disciplines, increase their level of physical fitness, and explore their creativity - all while promoting the fun and freedom that define what summer means to us all. The program looks to educate students during the non-school months to help prevent summer learning loss, and provide recreational experiences to which they might not otherwise have access.
