Summary: Generation Teach will support Providence students in reversing summer slide, developing positive relationships, and increasing aspirations for college success.

● GT’s STEAM Academies is open to all Providence Public Middle School students (rising 5th graders through rising 8th graders). Program achieved enrollment target of 350 PPSD students. The five-week camp is a free, full-day program available to students’ at all seven District middle schools.
● Generation Teach will recruit, select, equip, and support professional teachers to lead the STEAM Academies. GT will also hire the following positions for a successful implementation: Director, Assistant Director, Academic Deans, Deans of Operation, Teacher Coaches, and Summer Teaching Fellows.
● Generation Teach will offer four 45-minute academic classes and three 45-minute elective classes Monday to Thursday. Fridays are Fun Fridays with social emotional skill development through four 45-minute elective classes and afternoon activities. The academic classes will include:
o Engineering, math, reading, and social studies.
Funding: $420,000 Federal SIG A & City Funding [Contingent upon Funding]
